Evidence of Prophethood

SOME SAYINGS ABOUT "THE NOBLE QUR'AN"

1. UTBAH SAYING'S ABOUT THE QUR'AN

His telling of some incidents in the future does not mean he knows everything that is to take place in the future. Allah the almighty gave him this advantage in knowledge in certain situations. His people disbelieved in him, yet when he tells them that something will happen in the future, they believed him without a doubt. This does not mean that the Prophet peace be upon him could always tell the future or is a fortune-teller.

The heritage left behind by the Prophet for the day to day life in personal life, social life etc. for the whole mankind is another evidence of his prophethood. The examples are limitless and some of them are given below.

MARRIAGE AND FAMILY

If we compare the life of Muhammad before and after his mission as a Prophet, we will conclude that it is unreasonable to think that Muhammad was a false prophet who claimed Prophethood to attain material gains, greatness, glory, or power.

Before his mission as a Prophet, Muhammad had no financial worries. As a successful and reputed merchant, he drew a satisfactory and comfortable income. After his mission as a Prophet and because of it, he became worse off materially. To clarify this, let us look at the following sayings on his life:

Before discussing the issue of the prophethood three points should be kept in mind:

1. The right course for man is to live in obedience to God, and for the observance of such obedience knowledge and faith are absolutely essential: knowledge of God and His attributes, His likes and dislikes, His chosen way, and of the Day of Judgment. And unflinching faith in the truth and veracity of this knowledge: this is iman.

Prophetic Sayings & Modern "Discoveries"

A tradition states, “There are no new ideas, just new people to discover them." It is, in fact, amazing to find how many "modern discoveries" have already been written about in the Qur’an or Hadith.

A one-word answer to the question about the legacy of Prophet Muhammad would be Islam. But to speak specifically of the contribution of the Prophet as a person, we need to study the example he has set for humankind in all spheres of human endeavor.
From another angle, our focus should be on the role of the holy Qur'an in defining the Prophet's personality as well as his mission. The Sunnah provides a practical demonstration of the provisions of the Qur'an. Together, the Qur'an and the Sunnah effected a revolution that has changed the course of human history.

In the Qur’an, Allah commands believers to

[Be upholders of justice, bearing witness for Allah alone, even against yourselves or your parents and relatives. Whether they are rich or poor, Allah is well able to look after them. Do not follow your own desires and deviate from the truth. ] (An-Nisaa’ 4:135)

People can be grouped into three categories according to their different attitudes toward the physical miracles of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The three categories and some of the miracles are discussed below:

· Those With an Exaggerated Belief

· Those With an Exaggerated Denial

· Those With a Moderate View

· True Miracles of the Prophet

· The Miracles Related Concerning Hijrah

An Example to all People

Those situations the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was involved in, as they are related in the Qur'an, demonstrate his resignation, and submission to Allah. For instance, the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) words when he and his friend were hiding in a cave after leaving Mecca, are one of the finest examples of that submission. The Qur'an says:
