- أول من أرخ التاريخ الهجري عمر بن الخطاب بمشورة عدد من كبار الصحابة، ويعد ذلك نقلة مهمة في حضارة المسلمين، فلم يكن العرب قبله يعرفون التاريخ، واختار الصحابة البداية بعام الهجرة، لأنها حدث مفصلي في مسيرة الدعوة وبناء المجتمع المسلم، وأعلنوا شهر الله المحرم بداية لكل عام، مع أن وصول النبي (صلى الله عليه وسلم) إلى المدينة كان في ربيع الأول.

His Promise to Humanity
What the Prophet (peace be upon him) promised to humanity:
All shall be questioned in the grave
The Prophet (peace be upon him) explained that whenever a person dies and is placed in their grave, be they Muslim or non-Muslim, they will be made to undergo the very first stage of the afterlife – a questioning in the grave. The enormity of such an inevitable event struck Uthman bin Afan, the caliph of Islam, so much so that whenever he would stand over a grave he would weep.
What the Prophet (peace be upon him) promised to the world:
The feeling of security with Allah’s plan
Allah, the most exalted, stated in his book:
“Then, did they feel secure from the plan of Allah? But no one feels secure from the plan of Allah except the losing people.” (Qur’an: Al-A’raf: 99)
And he says:
“He said; ‘and who despairs of the mercy of his lord except for those astray” (Qur’an: Al-Hijr: 56)
