The Sealed Nectar

The Sealed Nectar by Shaykh Safi ur-Rahman

Why are drugs, intoxicants so, awful, foul and vile in Islam?

Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) has described drugs together with all sorts of intoxicants as:

1. The key to all evils.

2. The head of all errors and lapses.

3. The most terrible of major sins.

4. The mother of all atrocities.

5. The mother of all evils.

Let us look at what the scholars have said regarding the effects of drugs:

Islam was the most revolutionary liberalization of women's rights the civilized world has ever seen.

Unlike feminism movements, women's liberation in Islam wasn't started by women but was revealed by Allah to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in the seventh century. The Qur'an and the Hadith or Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) are the sources from which every Muslim woman derives her rights, responsibilities and duties.

Islam sees life is an organic whole and the same principles should guide and govern it in all its ramifications. It stands for life-affirmation and life-fulfillment and refuses to divide life into watertight compartments of the sacred and the secular, of the holy and profane. It gives an integrated view of life and reality. The teaching of Islam cover all fields of human activity, spiritual and material, individual and social, educational and cultural, economic and political, national and international.

The Muslim who truly understands the teachings of his religion is gentle, friendly and likeable. He mixes with people and gets along with them. This is something which should be a characteristic of the Muslim who understands that keeping in touch with people and earning their trust is one of the most important duties of the Muslim. It is an effective means of conveying the message of truth to them, and exposing them to its moral values, because people only listen to those whom they like, trust and accept.

Islam seeks to guarantee the freedom of property owners to spend, give away, and invest it as he or she deems fit. With the exception of three general guidelines, set for the befit of society, such freedom of disposal is virtually unrestrained.

Question:
I believe for sure that Rasulu'LLah Muhammad(swa) Is the best of all the prophets(asw) . But is there any envidence in the Quran or Sunna to support this ? There is an aya in quran which says 'we(i) don't diffetiance(nufariq) amoung them(the prophets).

Answer:

Praise be to Allaah.

(1) Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers”

[al-Baqarah 2:285].

Ibn Katheer said in his Tafseer of this aayah:

Why do we have to love the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) more than any other person?

Question:
Why do we have to love, obey, follow and venerate our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) the most (or more than any other person)?.

Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.

1 – Allaah has commanded us to obey the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

It has become clear and self-evident that the battle between the Prophets and their adversaries was actually centered around this great pillar – the Tawhid of Allah, and singling Allah out with the entirety of worship acts. This battle was never about secondary juridical differences, or about elements of legal intricacies, or about an issue for independent judgment. Instead, we recognize that the laws of the Prophets themselves were numerous, each according to the time, place, and those addressed.

The orientalists allege that the Prophet (Peace and Blessings be upon him) was worried about the enmity of the non-believers in Makkah. In such a state of mind one day went to Kaba where he recited to the gathering of believers and non-believers Surah al-Najm 53 which is said to have been revealed at that time.

The allegation is that in the course of its recitation and when he uttered the verse 19-20 Do you see al Lat and al Uzza and the other third Manat? Satan threw in the couplet Those are the swans exalted; verily their intercession is to be expected.
