Those are the activities planned in Greenville during Islam Awareness Week, observed Oct. 3-12 at Furman University.
The first event is a lecture by Alfons Teipen, an associate professor of Islamic studies at Furman. The topic is "Islam: What everyone Needs to Know?" It is set for 7 p.m. Oct. 3 in the Watkins Room in the Trone Student Center at Furman.
"Black Muslim in America" will be the focus of the next lecture, set for 7 p.m. on Oct. 4 in the Watkins Room Trone Student Center.
