The Mission

Twenty-six years ago I became a Muslim largely because I fell in love with a beautiful human being. "I was only sent to perfect noble character," said the man declared as a "mercy to all the worlds."

The Prophet (peace be upon him) as well as the Muslims had been facing towards Jerusalem while worshipping, that is, they regarded it as housing the Qiblah. (44) Such practice was followed for one year and four months after migrating to Madinah. It was the Prophets (peace be upon him) desire that the Kabah be made the Qiblah for prayers as did the other Arab converts to Islam, for they had been holding the sanctuary at Makkah in a reverential regard since time immemorial.

“What MUHAMMAD r Said About . .”

Muhammad r, taught many important principles and morals, and even set forth rules for combat, setting the precedent and still exceeding the rules of war set forth by the Geneva Convention.

Consider the following:

All innocent life was sacred and as such none could be harmed, except those who were engaged against them in active combat. Saving one life was as if one had saved the entire world, while taking an innocent life was as if one had taken the lives of the entire world.

It was the will of God that the glorious sun of humanity's guidance, which was to illuminate the world without end, should rise from the orb of Arabia. For it was the darkest corner of this terrestrial globe, it needed the most radiant daystar to dispel the gloom setting on it.

With the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

O Allah! Raise the rank of our leader Muhammad and that of his family as well, and grant him security. Aid us, O Allah, and make this affair easy for us, and allow us to complete it.

All praise is for Allah, the Lord of all that exists. We ask Him to raise the rank of the chief of all His creation, Muhammad, the seal of the prophets, and that of his family and all his companions.

Chapter 4-2 “What MUHAMMAD r Said About . .”

Prophet Muhammad r claimed every person who is born, is born in a state of ISLAM (submission to God on His Terms in Peace), as a Muslim (MU-Islam means; "one who does ISLAM" i.e.; submits to God's Will and obeys His Commandments).

The Prophet (peace be upon him) met some of the Yathribites belonging to the Khazraj at Aqabah (20) when he went to preach Islam to the tribes throughout the tenure of pilgrimage. He told them about Islam and called on them to serve God alone, reciting some Quranic verses in the process. As these people lived in Yathrib side by side with the Jews who often told them that an Prophet (peace be upon him) of God was soon to come, they said to one another: By God, this is the same thing that the Jews informed us; Lo, nobody should now get ahead of you.

After the religion brought by the Prophet (peace be upon him) had been made perfect and complete, God set down the revelation:

This day I have perfected your religion, completed my favors upon you, and declared Islam as your Religion

[SURAH Al-Maaidah:3]

Quraysh themselves provided a valid reason or rather made it unavoidable for the Muslims to lay their hands on Mecca, when they (after having a treaty with Muslims in Hudaybia) helped Banu Bakr (their allies) with weapons and men against Banu Khuzaa (the Muslims allies) in which Banu Khuzaa lost a number of their men.

The move to Makkah took place in Ramadhan, 8 A.H.; the Muslim force was 10,000 soldiers. There were a dozen casualties among Quraysh and two martyrs among the Muslims.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) sent for the two boys who owned the date-store and asked them to name the price of the yard. They answered, Nay, but we shall make thee a gift of it, O Prophet of Allah! The Prophet (peace be upon him), however, refused their offer, paid them its price and built a mosque from there. (39)

The Prophet (peace be upon him) himself carried the unburned bricks for construction of the building along with the other Muslims. He is reported to have recited as he worked.
