What joyous moments they are when you see crowds of Muslim men and women entering mosques for praying Taraaweeh or Qiyaam (night) prayers in the blessed month of Ramadan! It is a fascinating scene that kindles the sublime meanings of faith for anyone who contemplates it causing him to taste the sweetness of faith, assurance and optimism. These young men and women come to one location, unite behind one Imaam and beseech Allaah to answer their supplications. It is quite impossible for any other gathering to have such a spiritual atmosphere and shining faith.

 

Gateways of Goodness in Ramadan-III

Invoking prayers on the Prophet,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ). The Prophet,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ), said: "Whoever invokes prayers on me once, Allaah will return it to him ten times." [Muslim]

2-Calling to Allaah The Almighty and to goodness. "Whoever calls people to guidance, shall receive a reward equal to that of those who followed him without affecting their rewards in the least." [Muslim]

Indeed, reciting and pondering over the verses of the Noble Quran are among the fundamental ways of attaining bliss and inner serenity. Allaah The Exalted Described the Noble Quran as a guidance, a light, a cure for the hearts, and as a mercy. Allaah The Exalted Says (what means):

• {O mankind, there has to come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers.…} [Quran 10:57]

• {Then do they not reflect upon the Quran, or are there locks upon [their] hearts?} [Quran 47:24]

Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it.} [Quran 2:185]

 Reciting Thikr (remembrance of Allaah) after Fajr prayer until sunrise. The Prophet,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ), said: "Whoever performs Fajr prayer in congregation, then stays remembering Allaah till the sun rises, then performs two Rak‘ahs, will have the reward of Hajj and ‘Umrah in full." [At-Tirmithi: Hasan]

Site Of Anti-Islam Protest, Holds 'Love Not Hate' Event

An Arizona mosque where hundreds gathered last week for an anti-Islam demonstration, with counter-protesters shouting "Go home, Nazis," was the site of a "love not hate" event on Monday to promote peace and inclusiveness, participants said.

The Islamic Community Center of Phoenix said it was hosting a gathering that includes a multi-faith prayer service and speakers to "show that when one of us is mistreated, our community responds with a message of Love and Not Hate."

ICNA Billboards Dispel Islam Misconceptions A new billboard campaign has been launched in Michigan to present the true message of Islam and to correct misconceptions wrongly affiliated to Islam following extremist attacks in France and the US.

"In the fall of last year, we had a totally different theme planned for our 2015 campaign. We were looking at Islamic faith and service," Naeem Baig, president of New York-based Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), told Houston Chronicle.

Missouri Mosque Reaches Out to Community

Aiming to show the true face of Islam, a Colombia mosque hosted an open day on Sunday, April 26, to dispel misconceptions about the faith through presentations, discussions, and various other activities.

"I hope this clears up the unknown and uncertainty about Islam," open house day volunteer and keynote speaker, Tahura Lodhi, was quoted by KOMU 8 on Sunday.

"I think people are scared to ask questions or just know what they have been told on the news.
