Fitrah, "Deep primordial nature"~~~As opposed to certain popular doctrines, which hold that the cosmos is flawed and human nature is basically bad, Islam tells us that our deepest nature is beautiful, harmonious and right. It is only ignorance and bad choices, not an original built-in flaw, that can prevent us from realizing the fullest fruits of our Fitrah, our beautiful deepest human nature, which is a gift from Allaah. In other words, we were made to live in harmony with ourselves and our world. We simply have to pursue the knowledge, and make the decisions, that will allow us to do so.

The Quran is the Speech of Allah

The Noble Quran is the eternal miracle of Prophet Muhammad, sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, because all the miracles of the prophets, May Allah Exalt his mention, ended with their death, except our Prophet, sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, whose miracle is still preserved. This everlasting miracle is The Book of Allah and His Revealed Speech that {Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it} [Quran 41:42]

Allah The Almighty Confirms this fact, when He Says (what means):

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

No doubt that the Jews disbelieved in what Allaah revealed to our Prophet Muhammad  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) and hated it.  They were envious of him - except a few of them - because he was not one of them, i.e. did not descend from the children of Israel.

Israeli soccer fans burn Qur'an, insult Islam

During a Wednesday football match, fans of Israeli soccer team Beitar Jerusalem burned a copy of the Quran, the Muslim holy book, and insulted Prophet Muhammad.

Al-Aqsa Mosque Director Sheikh Najeh Bakirat has denounced the burning of the holy Quran and insults to Islam's Prophet Muhammad by Israeli football fans in the northern Israeli city of Sakhnin on Wednesday.

"Israeli violations against Muslim religious symbols have gone beyond all red lines," Bakirat told Anadolu Agency.

Students promote Islam

In order to fight misconceptions about the Muslim faith and educate people about specific aspects of Islam, the Notre Dame Muslim Students Association (MSA-ND) is hosting its first Islam Awareness Week from Tuesday to Friday of this week.

S.M. Moududul Islam, MSA-ND secretary, said the organization began planning the week last semester, using other universities’ Islam Awareness Weeks as models.

Judge asks for 'forgiveness' and apologises for ‘incorrect’ Muslim remark

A district court judge has apologised for his ‘unfortunate and incorrect remark’ in court when he said that ‘Muslims think they can actually beat their wives’.

Migrant groups urged the Judge Anthony Halpin to withdraw his comment after he made the remark in Tallaght District Court on Thursday.

Judge Halpin has said that he ‘had no intention of referring to, or offending Muslims or their religion’ and apologised for the hurt caused and asked for their ‘forgiveness’.

Mercy to Mankind Magazine - issue # 2

Editorial

We would like to bid you a warm welcome to the second edition of Explore Islam, a new quarterly magazine which aims to cover a
broad spectrum of contemporary issues as well as highlighting the life and true message of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
who is revered by Muslims as the final Messenger sent to mankind. It is strange that despite being voted the most influential person in
history (The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History by Michael H. Hart), and with Islam being the fastest growing religion
in the world, many misconceptions still continue to circulate about the Islamic faith and its most prestigious and most famous personality.
It is a little known fact that Islamic civilisation has played an integral role in the history of Europe, Asia, and Africa. Muslims have contributed
significantly to the scientific and cultural development of humanity.

Anas Ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "Whilst we were in the Mosque with the Messenger of Allah  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) a Bedouin came and stood urinating in the Mosque. The Companions of the Messenger of Allah  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) said, 'Stop it! Stop it!' and were about to attack him.

The Prophet’s humbleness

Prophet Muhammad  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) was a perfect model of modesty and humbleness. He  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) never spoke loudly or in an unseemly manner. In the market, he always passed by the people quietly with a smile. Whenever he heard anything undesirable in an assembly, he did not say anything out of respect for the people, but the color of his face showed his feelings and the Companions became cautious. `Aa’ishah  may  Allaah  be  pleased  with  her said that she never saw Allaah's Messenger  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) laughing so that she could see his molar teeth, for he only used to smile.
